This is a completely customized proposal and engagement theme wedding cake topper ordered by one of our customers.
Their wedding planning has followed the theme of “classic with a modern twist.” They have spent nearly every day of the past year planning this ceremony and reception together, and they have both got a vision that centers around keeping the wedding traditional and elegant, but with a young, modern edge. Everything they have planned is tasteful, but not boring. Relatively safe, but with some definite edge and risk. While looking for cake toppers, they wanted something truly unique.
So we designed and sculpted this engagement and proposal wedding cake topper for them. The bride is wearing her wedding dress, holding a bouquet of lily of the valley, leaning on a 2010 Harley Davidson denim black Fat Bob. The groom is getting down on one knee, holding a ring, asking bride to share the rest of her life with him. Their two dogs are biting at a banner with Lilies of the Valley decorations, saying “Ipom Yimotte”. You may wonder what does this phrase “Ipom Yimotte” mean. The answer is in their wedding story. In November, 2009, Kenny started tagging his emails and notes with the phrase "ipom yimotte." Timmi Jo tried relentlessly to decipher the phrase, but to no avail. She may not have known what it meant, but she knew it was important, and their hearts grew more and more entwined…
In 2010, after nearly a year of dating, Kenny surprised Timmi Jo by taking her back to the choir loft. Kenny played Timmi Jo the piano song he had written for her, titled "ipom yimotte," which meant "I Plan On Marrying You In May Of Two Thousand Eleven." He got down on one knee in the exact place where they had shared that first kiss nearly twenty years earlier, and he asked her to share the rest of her life with him. And when she said yes, a new verse to their song began…
