This is a completely customized dancing bride and groom wedding cake topper ordered by one of our customers.
They would like the groom to be shirtless, swinging his tux jacket around his head lifting one knee up to be dancing, and the bride to be in her wedding dress, holding a Mummer's umbrella, dancing with the groom together. It is quite a unique dancing style, but if you read the story below, you will understand why he makes such a unique dance. Thanks Stephanie and Mike for sharing their story (told by Stephanie).
I recently got engaged and am looking for a unique cake topper to match My Fiance and I's personality. He is a genuinely amazing man. He is funny, giving, honest and all about having a good time. He ends up shirtless at every wedding we attend and people look forward to it. It’s been said many times "It’s not a wedding until Mike's shirt comes off". I'd like his cake topper to be him with his shirt off swinging his tux jacket around his head lifting one knee up which would symbolize his signature dance.
I also love to have a good time but like to stay clothed at weddings....I have been a "Mummer" since I was 3 years old. It’s a Philadelphia tradition that occurs on January 1st every year called the New Year’s Parade. There are about 10 groups who pick a theme and put on a show wearing costumes based on the theme and perform a choreographed dance for a huge audience. For people unfamiliar with it, it is like Mardi Gras only Philadelphia style. For my cake topper I would like to be a bride/mummer, in wedding dress, but holding a Mummer's umbrella raising it into the air over.
