This is a completely customized Newfoundland dog wedding cake topper ordered by one of our customers. For most our orders we charge $50 for a pet, since the height of figurine is about 7-9 inches tall, in order to match our figurines, dog is no more than 3 inches tall. But our client prefers a bigger one about 5-7 inches tall, then the price has to be raised to $154. However larger size allows more detail sculpted on the figurine as showed on above image, also we put a baseball cake topper aside to help you figure out the proportion.

All clients ordered these dog cake toppers have fantastic stories about their dogs, thanks Stacey and Jeff for sharing their great story about the Newfoundland Dog. It is kinda long, but deeply moves us. (Story told by Stacey)

Ten years ago, when Jeff and I first started dating, Jeff came across an ad in the newspaper selling Newfoundland dogs. Always wanting a dog of his own (and a big one too) Jeff immediately called and inquired more about the puppies. After getting off the phone with the breeder, Jeff got into the car and drove an hour away to see the 10 puppies. When he walked into the house, he was lead into the room where the 10 jet black puffballs were anxiously awaiting their future parents. One puppy in particular caught his eye. It was the puppy who showed no interest in Jeff’s presence and who remained sleeping behind the toilet. "I want that one" were Jeff’s next words...The bond between master and dog formed immediately on the ride home as this puppy slept right in his lap.

When he brought him home, I too fell in love with this little black puppy who looked more like a bear cub than a dog. One night we were playing a game at the kitchen table and not paying much attention to the dog. When we had looked down, he had somehow gotten hold of a deck of cards and managed to keep every card in the sleeve but the one that had the name of the deck of cards printed on it....MAVERICK....which in addition is one of the characters in Jeff’s all time favorite movie...TopGun...so that’s how he came to have his name....

Growing up, Mavy was definitely an "active' dog...always managing to find a pair of my highheels, or finding his way into the garbage if we didn’t put it away....he has eaten his way thru window screens if he didn’t feel like being left alone....and has had his share of ruining couches. But, as he grew, the relationship between Jeff and I deepened too. He has become a part of us that we couldn’t live without. He has brought us so much joy, laughter and good times....we do not go anywhere without him. He loves taking walks, riding in the car, swimming in the ocean, playing with other dogs, and just cuddling with us on the couch or bed. He is so loving and protective of Jeff and I. He is great around young children. Because of his size, our nieces and nephews think they can ride him like a horse...but that ok with him...he just sits there and loves every second of it. Jeff and I cant wait to have a little boy...his middle name is going to be Maverick!! I've never come across another dog with such a great disposition as he....

And so here we are now, almost 11 years later (finally getting married) but loving that dog even more than we when first set eyes on him...He is so special to us and so much a part of our lives, we would be remiss if we didn’t include him in our special day as husband and wife. Life after Mavy with another dog??...we're not sure if that exists...they broke the mold when they made the one and only "MavyDog"....life can’t get better!
