1) 2D drafts Designing Stage

Dress Front.jpg Additional Image No.3 135. Dress Back.jpg Special Instruction Box Additional photos are of our golf shoes we will wear during the ceremony . And the front and back view of the brides dress. The grooms tuxedo will be ivory pants and jacket . With champagne or medium tan vest and long tie . With an ivory shirt . Our wedding is that of a golf theme . With chocolate and peanut butter our colors and dessert theme . So, if you could do us standing arm in arm on a grass base with golf clubs and golf balls scattered at our feet , maybe a hole with a 17 flag in it , that would be perfect . (our wedding is Oct.17th) Also a champagne colored golf glove on the brides left hand , and the grooms right hand . We will have a scale model golf cart on the cake as well . So simple is good .
When the first 2D draft complete, we will email it to get your approval.
Hi Bill,
Here is the first 2D draft. What do you think about the pose? Usually we draw the pose first and then add more details and colors.
If you want make any change, feel free to let us know.
Best,
Wade
Hi Wade,
The pose is great . And the base and setting are also great . The only thing is if the bride's hair can be up in a short ponytail like her picture . And if the golf gloves could be "on" the hands of the bride and groom . Instead of them holding the gloves . Other than that it looks absolutely wonderful . Thank you very much , Bill

Hi Bill,
Modifications are complete and colors added. Please check the attachment for details. We won't draw many details about heads in the 2D draft. The details of heads will be sculpted in 3D figurines and get your approval every step as the 2D designing stage. The 2D draft is mainly used for confirming pose, clothes and colors. Please be aware that this is only draft. Final product will be little difference from this draft.
If you want to make any changes (e.g. changing colors), feel free to tell us.
Best,
Wade
Wade,
That looks great . The only changes would be the dress and tux in real life are going to be ivory or a light cream color, not really white . And the gloves , vest , and tie are a tan color or champagne . Lighter than in the picture. If you can see the color of this print , it would work perfect for the gloves , vest and tie . %%%%%%%%%%%% The shoes are perfect ! We are really excited to see it when it is done . Thank you for everything . Bill
Hi Bill,
Modification is complete, How about now?
It is not obviously between ivory and white in this 2D draft, but we will pay attention to the color when we sculpt the 3D figurines.
If everything is ok, we will move to the 3D sculpting stage.
Any question? Feel free to let us know.
Best,
Wade

Hey Wade , Everything looks great . Thank you for your patience . And thanks for clarifying on the color . But everything looks fantastic . Move on with the sculpting . And thanks again . Bill
2) 3D Sculpting Stage
Now 2D drafts are complete, we are moving to 3D sculpting stage. Remember that unobviously ivory in 2D draft? Don’t worry, we have another step to make sure everything is right. That is we will send real clay to get your approval about the colors.
Hi Bill,
Here are the clays we are going to use for your figurines. Please check attachment for detail. Please check colors of clay carefully, because when we start to sculpt your figurines, these colors are not painted. They are natural ones of material (Clay). Once we finish figurines, we can't change them. Sure for small parts, we can change colors by remaking those parts with new clay, but for main parts, modification cannot be made. So please confirm main colors that you love.
It is not obviously between ivory and white in that 2D draft, but now you can see the difference. lol
If you want to make any changes, feel free to let us know.
Best,
Wade
Hey Wade,
Everything is good except the wedding dress is supposed to be ivory also . The tux and the dress should be the same color . Other than that we are good to go .
Bill
Till now, everything is fine and we will start to sculpt. After couples of days the 3D figurines will come out.
First are the heads without hair and bodies…
Hi Bill,
Here are the bodies and heads without hair, because the likeness of heads is the key point, we need your approval. Important Notice: Before baking, the heads are soft and can make any changes you want. But after baking, they turn hard then we can't modify them Now they are soft and can accept any changes, that is also why we haven't added hair. The hair is too heavy that might destroy the shape of the heads. If you want to make any changes, feel free to let us know.
Best,
Wade

Hello Wade , Everything looks wonderful . We are very excited ! Michelle said not to forget my sideburns . But please go ahead and move on to the next step . Everything is great !
Now we will bake the heads and bodies and prepare to add hairs.
Hi Bill,
Now hairs added, please check attachment for details. If you want to make any change about the shape of hair, feel free to let us know. Till now, your cake topper is almost done, if everything is fine, we will make a final baking and prepare to ship.
Any other question? Feel free to let us know.
Best
Wade

Hey Wade , Does the bride need the pearls? Michelle won't be wearing any . If they really need to be there then ok . But if not OK . We don't really want the pearls on the brides neck . The figures look amazing !!!!!! Thank you !!!!!
Hi Bill,
Since the heads and bodies are baked separately and then connected together, there will be a tiny seam on the neck. That is why we added pearls to cover it. Sure, if you insist on removing the pearls, we are glad to remove it and will try our best to make the seam unobviously. So now it depends on you. What is your final idea about the pearls?
Any other questions? Feel free to let us know.
Best,
Wade
Thanks Wade , We would appreciate it if you could do what you could to remove the pearls . Since everything else is true to our day , we would like to get as close as we can to what we are wearing on that day . If it turns out to be too obvious of a gap then we can fix it . But for now please try to remove the pearls . Thank you . And sorry for any inconvenience . You are doing a great job . Everyone we have shown the pictures to love the figures . They may be future customers ! Thanks again for your patience . Bill
Now the cake topper is done, the following image is the final product, love it? |
